Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program

Applications close on 5 March 2024.

Round 25 of the Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program is now open.

The Albanese Government is providing funding to solve industry identified problems that align with the Government’s priorities, including our commitment to build a Future Made in Australia.

Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Grants provide funding for medium to long-term, industry-led research collaborations.

The CRC Program was established in 1990 under the Hawke Government to fund industry-led collaborations between industry, researchers and end users. Successful projects from previous rounds have spanned a range of issues from tackling plastic waste and cyber security to lowering emissions from agriculture and taking new Australian battery technologies to market.

CRCs must be medium to long term industry-led collaborative research projects that last up to 10 years.

Industry sectors, researchers and community sectors can apply and view grant guidelines here.
